A Time for Everything

Late Tuesday night, I set about trying to make bridal/entourage bouquets by way of a Youtube video that I had seen. I went to bed discouraged -- the bouquets looked limp and sparse. So much for my plan to DIY the entire bridal entourage bouquets.

But I woke up in the morning and found that the pink and white roses had bloomed ever so beautifully. Would you believe that these are not Ecuadorian roses, but local ones found in Dangwa. I wish I had taken photos of the bouquets the night before just for comparison.

I am reminded of one of my favorite verses in Scripture: "He has made everything beautiful in its time." (Ecclesiastes 3:11). Indeed.

One Month To Go

In any relationship, there are many doubts and fears. Even when the person you are with is, quite possibly, the most honest and faithful person in the world. Chalk it up to past experiences and personal insecurities, but I am a person that likes/needs to be reassured constantly that I am loved. How needy is that? Haha.

But praise God because He has been teaching me to base my sense of self in an accurate view of who I am in Him. Not on external circumstances. Not on emotions. Not even on relationships with people who are as flawed as I am.

Such that, when an affirmation does come, it is but icing on the cake.

Last Saturday night, I was invited by Jotham's mom to a fellowship night with other ladies in their church. At one point in the program, we broke off into small groups, and I found myself in a table with Jotham's mom, and Lei, Jotham's sister-in-law. We were asked to tell each other, what we appreciated about the other.

And Jotham's mom said the sweetest thing. "Thank you for making Jotham so happy. Mahal na mahal ka ng anak ko."

Hayayayyy.

These things, they are very, very nice to hear.

Friday Morning

Today starts the days of not having work, and concentrating exclusively on wedding preparations and doing things at leisure. Thank you Lord for helping me finish my stint at the magazine, even though there were days that were excruciatingly unbearable. Thank you that you remind me of what is most needful, and thank you for your sustaining grace.

My Best Friend's Wedding

The way I was crying when my best friend Mia walked down the aisle -- you'd think I was her mother or something.

A Beautiful Space

It was the presscon of the LG OLED Curved TV, and the venue -- the Poliform showroom in Bel-Air, was so stylish, that I took photos of everything except the TV.

Possessions

We'll be moving our things little by little to our new place. Jotham asked me if I need to move anything too big.

Nope. All I have are my clothes, and my books, and my travel magazines.

Soon though, I'll be in charge of things beyond my reading materials and clothes. Things like cleaning equipment. Cutlery, dinnerware, kitchenware. Sheets, and linen. How am I ever going to manage.

Kate's Wedding

My good friend Paolo lent me this Vogue issue with exclusive photos of Kate Moss' wedding. I love how it is very Great Gatsby-inspired -- way before The Great Gatsby and the 1920s became a thing.

I also love the simple, hand-tied bouquets that Kate, her bridesmaids and her flowergirls held.

Long Weekend

Annabel's breakfast, Premium Mattress Gallery at Ronac Art Center, and dessert at Mom and Tina's

On Friday night, we had dinner with one of our ninongs, and his wife. During dessert, Kuya Vance reminded us of the importance of kindness and forgiveness, in any relationship, but most importantly, in marriage.

"Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you." --Ephesians 4:32
